National Hot Cocoa Day is December 13, so for 2024 we thought we would take a look and see what the data says about which hot cocoa brand  is the hottest for cozy season -- Swiss Miss or Ghirardelli?

The data might surprise you, especially when we look across age cohort and what kind of cozy you are looking for.

All Adults

For All Adults, USA, 2024 -- we would say that Swiss Miss wins for "nostalgic cozy" and Ghirardelli wins for "posh cozy," based on their top four imagery attributes.

Adults 50+

That mostly remains the same for Adults 50+ in the USA, but Ghirardelli also scores that important BEST BRAND imagery attribute in their top four and Swiss Miss picks trades out CHARMING for GOOD VALUE in their top four.

Adults 29 and Under

With folks under 29 in the USA, BEST BRAND moves over to Swiss Miss in the top four and interestingly both brands are perceived as TRADITIONAL.

That makes us wonder who is disrupting the cocoa space now, and will become TRADITIONAL for the next generation?
